| Taryn Hamilton was selected by the Canadian Kennel Club to represent Canada in the Junior
Handling Competition at the prestigious Cruft’s Dog Show to be held this
year in Birmingham, England in March. She didn't just show, but she showed
them how it's done! Congratulations to Taryn for winning Best Junior
Handler in the International Junior Handler competition. |

| Crufts is the world’s oldest and
largest dog show, as recognized by the Guinness Book of Records. Established
by Charles Cruft in 1891, the show is now hosted by The Kennel Club (UK)
with more than 25,000 dogs expected this year.
We all recognize that this is “Centre Stage – World
Theatre”. |

| Taryn earned her trip to England by competing in the Canadian National
Junior Handling Competition. She has competed successfully in this event for
several years. Last August, Taryn went to Victoria, with ‘Baillie’, to
compete in the 2007 Competition where she won Second Place. Since the first
place winner has since turned 19 (Junior Handlers must be 18 years or
younger), Taryn was asked to represent Canada at Cruft's in March, 2008. |

Taryn is familiar to all of us due to her
active participation in many Club activities.
Despite her young age, she has been around the dog business for some time
now. She is most often found in the conformation ring showing dogs, and has
also participated in our Club activities for years; setting and taking down
equipment at our Speciality Show, running dogs at our field events,
attending our general meetings, etc. |

We, the BCLRC, are very proud of Taryn's accomplishment
and to have supported this young woman in her competition and achievement at Cruft's. |
