Here is a short
list of Training Sites
Here is a link to Mike Lardy’s
training articles from his site. Mike has an unbeatable record of
success in field trials and these training articles along with his other
products from DVD’s to the re-prints of his series first published in
the Retriever Journal, allow trainers at any level to deepen their
knowledge or advance beyond their current level.

This is the link to Even Graham’s web site, from here you can view all of his material. Evan is suited for those who are taking their first steps into retriever sports.

As an extension of Evan Graham’s
program, this link connects you with his youtube video training library.
Read the articles from Mike Lardy and Evan, then watch TV to see it in
practice.

This is Robert Milner’s web
site; he approaches retriever work from the no e-collar perspective as
one would find prevalent amongst British field trainers. I recommend
this site not just for those who would not consider using an electronic
training collar but for any trainer who wish to broaden their
perspectives and wish to find ideas to compliment their chosen training
program.

If you now have or are
anticipating a puppy then Bill Hillman is a phenomenal trainer to
study. Bill trains puppies in a manner which blends(IMHO) the best
methods of North American e-collar trainers and the British training
style. His credentials speak for themselves; Bill has had more Dogs top
the US Derby list than anyone in the history of Field Trials, what Bill
says, goes! His approach to steadying and the training of doubles
differs substantially from conventional FT practice....but his Derby
record demands that his methods be studied.

For great debates on all things
retriever and the occasional training gem, here is a link to the
Retriever Training Forum....WARNING, once logged on; you may never leave
this site!

Last but by no means least,
Canada’s very own Retrievers On Line, the sport’s premier training and
competition publication, go on line and subscribe! Publisher and major
domo of the amateur trainer Dennis Voigt fills each issue with more in
depth training information than one could believe possible, ...Dennis is
a true National Treasure. If you do nothing else, subscribe, check out
your progress in the results pages and be amazed!
