Club Show & Trials - 2009

August TBA

Our specialty show, in conjunction with all-breed obedience and all-breed rally trial is usually held at Maple Ridge (Albion) fairgrounds.

Practice Sessions

Training sessions for all levels of competitive obedience, rally obedience and conformation handling will run weekly every Friday until June.  Sessions run from 7-9 in the Commercial Building at the Maple Ridge (Albion) fairgrounds.  Each session costs $5.00 for BC Lab Club members and $10.00 for non members (covers more than one dog per member).  Drop-ins are welcome.  Help with unpacking and packing of equipment before and after sessions is greatly appreciated.

TNT Clean up & Work Parties

BC Lab Club members have been given the privilege to field train their retrievers on the gorgeous land and ponds at TNT Kennels.  The owners much appreciate those that take advantage of this generous offer - help maintain the expansive ponds thru the spring and summer months. There are acres of shorelines that require weed-eating.

Work parties start at 9 am and finish at 12 noon.  TNT kindly offers that after the work parties, we are able to spend the  rest of the day to enjoy training our dogs. We form groups and get to work on many training concepts. New people are always welcome. Please remember, that training is for those that helped at the work party ONLY.

The best tools to take along for the clean-up are gas engine powered brush cutters and garden rakes to fish the grass out of the water. We can share the tools. So please come even if you do not have a brush cutter or a garden rake.

Please make an effort to come out and help if you are in town that day. The directions can be found on the on TNT web page.

YOU MUST HAVE SIGNED A LIABILITY WAIVER AT THE KENNEL PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST TIME TRAINING AT TNT.  Visit BC Retriever News for more information.

TNT can also be booked for for personal and small group (5 people or less) training days.  The fee is $100 for 8 hours.  E-mail Janice to make a reservation.
